He is a well-wisher who bestows wealth and prosperity on people who do good deeds while sternly punishing the wicked and those who commit wrongdoings. As a result, people seek to please Shani, the planet, and revere him above all others. Saturday is the day of Lord Shani and people worship shani specifically on this day. History and significance of the Navgrah Shani Mandir Ujjain: It's called the Triveni Teertham by the locals.
Worship, rituals & festivals
Throughout the year, thousands of pilgrims visit the temple. It is thought that for wishes to be granted, one must present oil to Shani Dev. This oil offering has additional significance because, in mythology, it is made to bring Sade Sati and Dhayya peace.
On the day of Shani Amavasya, it is a tradition to present the lord's five quintals of oil as part of a sacred rite. The devotees later win the oil through auction. It is also said that everyone who gives oil to Shani Dev out of pure kindness would be blessed by the Lord and have all of their problems in life resolved.
Therefore Lord shani is considered to be the lord of justice and blesses people according to their hard work and honesty. Navgrah Shanti puja Ujjain: Worshiping all nine gods—the Sun, Moon, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus, Saturn, Rahu, and Ketu—is known as Navgrah Puja and Havan. This fortunate rite has its roots in the Vedic era.
To lessen the negative effects of the planets and increase their good effects on one's life, Ujjain performs Navgrah Shanti Puja. Every one of the horoscope's nine planets is honored during this puja. It is said that Lord Vishnu once informed Lord Shiva that a person who worships the Navgraha according to the prescribed rites will eventually achieve all four Purusharths, which are dharma, artha, kaam, and moksha.
Initially, the devotees take a Sankalp, and then they recite mantras to call upon all nine planets or the Navgrah. Puja for Lord Ganesh and the entire Navgrah comes next. Hawan is then finished for all of the Navgrah.
